Our Son

 

We can’t believe it’s been a year today

You took your life and couldn’t stay

 

We still are asking WHY?

I know we’ll never know the answer to the question

Until we meet you in heaven

Above the big blue sky

 

We know you are with us daily in our thoughts and dreams

Because when the days are long and hard

We cry a river of streams

 

Our hearts are forever broken and nothing will be ever the same

Until we meet you in heaven when God calls our name

 

Thank you for the butterflies, dragonflies and cardinals that you send

It has been a sign from you so our hearts can mend

 

While there is still a heart in me

You will always be a part of me

Until that day comes for us to be

A happy family one more time

for everyone to see

 

We just want you to know

We forgive you, as we hope you forgive us too

And I,m sorry that there was nothing we could do

Except to show our love for you

 

You are forever ours and we wish you peace and love in heaven above.
